You want a solution that meets your business goals, your users' needs, and your project constraints. I can help you achieve it.

Designing great experiences is frequently about being able to understand and identify problems, and collaborating to solve those problems in a way that best balances the many goals and constraints at play.

I’ve been doing this for quite a while now, and while many of my projects and project materials are not available to share publicly, I’ve included here a sampling of projects that demonstrate a bit of my process and experience.

Please contact me if you’d like to discuss these examples, or any additional examples from my UI/UX career:  leahysco@gmail.com  |  (260) 479-7092.

For over 15 years I was the sole user interface and requirements specialist at Logikos, Inc., a software services company here in Fort Wayne. In that time, I’ve worked on over two dozen projects that provided me opportunities to: employ my skills across full project lifecycles; support and lead teams; and contribute to the success of web, desktop, and mobile software projects under several development methodologies, from waterfall to agile/scrum.

Having served a variety of clients with a variety of software needs over the years, I’m practiced at learning new domains, working with new people, collaborating with different teams, and adjusting my approach and my output to best serve the needs of each project.

I care about the success of the project as well as producing an excellent solution. I am adept at balancing the “big picture” (business goals, budget and technical constraints, etc.) with the relevant details and design fundamentals, in order to produce highly usable, buildable solutions.

I’m big on clarity and usability, which applies not only to formulating solutions with users in mind, but to project communication as well. An important part of my job is to make sure that designs and specifications are understood by all stakeholders, to earnestly collect and understand the feedback, and to make sure that expectations are well established. I also believe a certain amount of empathy is required to do the job well. This applies to putting oneself in the user’s place as much as possible to design a great experience, but it also applies to collaborating with stakeholders and teammates, especially when discussing their goals, constraints, and concerns.

You want a solution that meets your business goals, your users' needs, and your project constraints. I can help you achieve it.

I have over 15 years' experience designing successful solutions for desktop, web, and mobile applications. Thoughtful, user-centered design produces the best solutions.

I believe that the products we create should be highly usable, whether they are...
 - engaging and intuitive user interfaces;
 - specifications that are understandable to all stakeholders;
 - or web content that speaks to your audience.
